A tribute to May Adams.
On the 19 February Ostinato Choir sang the Ave Verum by Mozart at the funeral of May Adams who had been our oldest member. May had joined the choir in its first year, continuing her long interest in music and drama. Many of us became aware of her many contributions to the Wangaratta Community when she was named as one of 50 Icons in September 2009 as part of the City's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
She was always full of good humour and easy to get on with. Among the sopranos she was much appreciated and never afraid to ask a question of our conductor Ruth about the songs we were practicing. We will miss her at our weekly practices but will remember the important contribution she made to the choir community.
